Jost Vineyards Ltd Jost Vineyards, situated on the northern shores of Nova Scotia, combines more than 300 years of grape growing and wine making traditions with a long warm, frost free season. Jost Vineyards history begins with Hans Wilhelm Jost and family in the Rhine region of Germany. The Christinenhof was a successful family-run vineyard and cellar, highly praised for its wine quality.

Directions
Travelling from Halifax on Highway 102, take exit 14A through Onslow (2 km). At flashing amber light turn Left onto Route 311 to Tatamagouche. Go through Tatamagouche on Route 6 (Sunrise Trail) to Malagash. At the barrel turn right and continue to follow the blue grape signs. Travelling from Pictou area on Route 6 to Tatamagouche onto Malagash, following the blue grape signs. Travelling from New Brunswick and the Amherst area, follow the signs for Route 6. Route 6 takes you through Pugwash and Wallace.

  1999 Premium Oak-Aged Michurinetz
Gold medal winner at 2002 InterVin International. Bronze medal winner at 2002 International Tasters Guild. Only 75 cases of the Gold Medal award winning 1999 Michurinetz were produced from Michurinetz grapes grown in Jim Gray’s vineyard located near Berwick, Nova Scotia. The complexity of this rare Russian grape variety was enhanced with barrel aging in French Oak producing a distinct, dry red wine which is great with many red meat dishes but will be enjoyed on its own. Notice: Some colour sediment may form in unfiltered wine. (2 Bottle Limit)
  2000 Reserve Cote de Bras d'Or Marechal Foch
Gold at the 2001 International Taster's Guild Competition. Bronze at the 2001 All-Canadian Wine Championships and Canadian Wine Awards. Only 1000 bottles of the Limited Edition 2000 Reserve Cote de Bras d’Or Marechal Foch were made from the best Marechal Foch grapes grown in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.. These grapes were grown by John Pratt (Johnny Grape) during the summer and fall of 2000 on Marble Mountain which faces the picturesque Bras d’Or Lakes. It is a gold medal award winning dry red wine rich with fruit and tannin. Enjoy this Cape Breton Treat!
  2001 DeChaunac
Gold medal winner at the International Taster's Guild Competition and Bronze medal winner at the 2002 All-Canadian Wine Championships. Jost Vineyards Gold Medal award-winning 2001 Gaspereau Vineyard DeChaunac is a full bodied Estate Bottled red wine. It was decided to bottle this limited production dry red wine without filtering so that the unique Nova Scotia grown DeChaunac characteristics (lengthy black cherries, bell peppers and chocolate overtones) could be highlighted. It will compliment the heartiest of red meat dishes and fine cheeses. Note: Some colour sediment may form in unfiltered wine.
  2001 Petite Riviere Rouge
Bronze medal winner at 2002 International Tasters Guild. Jost Vineyard’s premier vintage of Petite Riviere Rouge is an award winning wine made solely from grapes grown on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The Lucy Kuhlmann and Leon Millot grapes were nurtured in Phillip Wamboldt’s vineyard located on the shore of the Petite Riviere. This limited production (only 200 cases), dry red wine compliments a variety of red meats and fine cheeses.
  2001 Reserve Marechal Foch
Gold medal winner at the 2003 International Taster's Guild Competition and the 2003 Canadian Wine Awards. This double Gold Medal award-winning dry red wine was made from only the best Marechal Foch grapes grown in our vineyards in Malagash, Nova Scotia during the summer and fall of 2001. Aged in French oak barrels, this wine has oaky berry and bell pepper characters on a good tannin backbone leading to great overall balance and length. This wine has exceptional aging potential and pairs well with many fine cheeses and red meat dishes. Notice: Some colour sediment may form.

  2002 LaHave Blanc
Gold medal winner at 2003 All-Canadian Wine Championships and Silver at the 2003 Tasters Guild International.The Limited Edition La Have Blanc was made from a blend of Cayuga and Seyval Blanc grapes nurtured in the vineyard of Bill Kienzle located near the La Have River on the South Shore. We are confident that this medium dry, full flavoured and well balanced white wine will compliment seafood as well as chicken and white sauce pasta dishes.
  2002 Vidal Late Harvest
Gold medal winner at 2003 Intervin Int'l & 2003 International Taster’s Guild. Jost Vineyards Gold Medal award-winning (2003 InterVin International) 2002 Late Harvest was made from Nova Scotia Grown grapes that were allowed to freeze on the vine. It possesses many of the same attributes as an icewine but is slightly drier and lighter styled. It fills the nose with honeyed citrus and apple. There is plenty of lengthy flavors including, honey, apricots and grapefruit with a lemon/lime raisin finish. This dessert wine pairs well with fruit flans and other desserts.
  2002 Zweigelt Cabernet
Jost Vineyards 2002 Zweigelt Cabernet is a full-bodied Estate Bottled dry red wine. This limited production (45 cases) Vitis vinifera varietal wine is a blend of Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the Gaspereau Valley of Nova Scotia. Abundant fruit flavours and aging in French oak barrels has produced a unique Nova Scotia grown classic varietal blend. It will compliment the heartiest of red meat dishes and fine cheeses.

  Beaver Creek Geisenheim
Jost Vineyard’s Beaver Creek Geisenheim is a dry white wine made from a Nova Scotia grown grape variety with Riesling parentage (GM6495-3). This variety was developed at the Geisenheim Research Station in Germany by Dr. Helmuth Becker. The wine is full of berry and citrus fruit accented with a subtle floral note. It is an excellent companion to lightly flavoured seafood and mild cheeses.
  Cabernet Sauvignon Marechal Foch
Jost Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Marechal Foch is a dry, full-bodied red wine made from the finest imported Cabernet Sauvignon and Nova Scotia grown Marechal Foch grapes. This reserve blend wine boasts an oaky vanilla, chocolate character which mingles with bell peppers and black cherries. Good balance and lots of tannins as well as a lengthy finish make this wine an excellent companion to hearty meat and cheese dishes or a delight on its own.
  Côte de Bras d’Or Cayuga
Silver Medal at the 2006 Tasters Guild Awards Proudly made with Cape Breton, Nova Scotia grown Cayuga grapes. Grown by John Pratt (Johnny Grape) on Marble Mountain, facing the picturesque Bras d’Or Lakes, these grapes make a wonderful, fragrant, medium dry white wine. Pale lemon in color, and showing peach and melon in the nose, it has a body of fruit and a Cape Breton treat!

  Cote St. George Marechal Foch
Silver Medal winner at 2006 International Tasters Guild Only 70 cases of Jost Vineyards 2004 Côte St. George Marechal Foch were made from grapes grown in the Antigonish area of Nova Scotia in the vineyard of Kingsley Brown overlooking beautiful St. George’s Bay. This dry red wine, with abundant red berry fruit and refreshing tannins, will pair well with hearty red meat and pasta dishes.
  Eagle Tree Muscat
Silver Medal winner at 2006 International Tasters Guild. The Eagle Tree Muscat is made from the "New York Muscat" grape variety, grown extensively in Nova Scotia. The full flavour and pronounced bouquet of the 2003 Eagle Tree Muscat make it an ideal wine with many spicy oriental dishes, lobster, and heavy stews. It is also the best wine for steaming mussels, giving them a wonderful flavour.
  Framboise Dessert Wine
Gold Medal Winner at the 2003 All-Canadian Wine Championships and Silver at the 2003 Taster's Guild International. The Jost Vineyards Framboise is a dessert style wine made from raspberries grown by Robert and Elizabeth Barber on the sunny slopes of Malagash Peninsula of Nova Scotia. Harvested at peak ripeness the raspberries were warm fermented as whole berries so as to extract the maximum colour and flavour possible. The result is a bright, well balanced dessert wine exhibiting intense raspberry fruit on both the nose and palate. Jost Vineyards Framboise was awarded Quality Certification by the national fruit wine certifying body (Fruit Wines of Canada). It is a delicious treat in itself that will also compliment any dessert.
  Glowine
A mulled blend of blueberry and apple wine, spiced with cinnamon and cloves. This wine is meant to be served warm.
  Habitant Blanc
Medal winner at 2006 International Tasters Guild. The Nova Scotia grown award winning Habitant Blanc is a nicely balanced, refreshing dry white wine. With apricot, citrus and grapefruit flavours accented by floral and spicy notes, this Nova Scotia wine is a perfect companion to seafood and shellfish.

Kellermeister is a sweeter dessert style wine made from a blend of the finest Nova Scotia grown grapes. With its pleasing bouquet and elegant, well-balanced finish, Kellermeister can be enjoyed with any dessert or simply on its own.
  L’Acadie Blanc (Oak-aged)
Jost Vineyards 2001 Oak-aged L'Acadie Blanc is a truly Nova Scotian wine. Aging in French limousine oak barrels has given it the smoky vanilla characteristics it possesses. L'Acadie Blanc is a grape variety that flourishes in the maritime climate of this part of the Acadian homeland, producing a lovely dry white wine that is the perfect companion to Nova Scotia's world renowned seafood and shellfish.
  L'Acadie Chardonnay
This wine is an exciting blend combining the apple fruit nose of Nova Scotia grown L’Acadie Blanc grapes with the balanced, crisp body of Chardonnay from Ontario. A vanilla smoke, green apple nose leads into a long silky finish on the palate. This is a well-balanced, pleasing wine which pairs well with seafood and chicken dishes.
  Leon Millot
Gold medal winner at 2005 All-Canadian Wine Championships and Silver at 2005 Taster's Guild International. The Leon Millot was produced from grapes grown in the Ashburne Vineyard and the Bennett Vineyard. This dry red wine was not aged in oak barrels in order to maintain its lengthy black cherry and anise flavours and soft, ripe tannins. It will pair well with a variety of red meats, fine cheeses and spicy dishes. Notice: Some colour sediment may form
  Maple Wine
Silver medal winner at 2002 International Tasters Guild. The award winning Jost Vineyards Maple Wine was made from a blend of maple syrup and maple sap collected from trees in the vast maple forests of Nova Scotia. The maple "juice" was carefully cool fermented until the desired concentration of residual sugars was reached. The result is this unique full bodied dessert style wine which is sweet and flavourful yet soft and harmonious. This delicious wine captures the exquisite flavour and character of the maple tree. Jost Vineyards maple wine will compliment many fine desserts or can be savoured on its own.
  Marechal Foch
Gold medal winner at the 2006 International Taster's Guild Competition Our Marechal Foch is a dry, well-balanced red wine blessed with red berry flavours and good length. The herbaceous and fruity bouquet is indicative of a Nova Scotia summer, earthy and natural. Marechal Foch is an excellent wine to serve with beef, venison and hearty pasta dishes.
  Muscat Icewine
Bronze Medal Winner 2004 Tasters Guild International Jost Vineyard’s Gold Medal Award Winning 2003 Muscat IceWine was made from Nova Scotia Grown New York Muscat grapes that had frozen on the vine. Harvested and pressed in December 2003 while temperatures hovered between -80C to -140C, only a few sweet drops of juice from each berry (high in sugar, flavour and balance giving acidity) were extracted and then carefully vinted under cool conditions. The unique dessert wine that emerged has complex flavours and fragrances full of apricot and citrus just waiting to be enjoyed.
  Oak Aged Severnyji
The award winning 2000 Severnyji was produced from grapes grown in Andrew and Mary Bennett’s vineyard in Avondale, Nova Scotia. Only 100 cases of this unfiltered oak-aged red wine were produced from this very cold hardy, early ripening Russian variety. This well balanced, dry red wine pairs well with hearty meat and pasta dishes. Notice: Some colour sediment may form in unfiltered wines.
  Ortega Chardonnay
Medal winner at 2006 All-Canadian Wine Championships. The Limited Edition Ortega Chardonnay is a blend of these two Nova Scotia Grown Vitis vinifera varieties. Only 100 cases of wine were produced from grapes grown in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. This delicate, beautifully balanced, off-dry white wine has good body and length. The nose and flavour suggests citrus, apples and roses. It pairs well with poultry and seafood dishes.
  Ortega Icewine
Double Gold 2006 International Taster’s Guild. Jost Vineyard’s Double Gold Medal award winning (2006 International Tasters Guild Awards) 2004 Warner Vineyard Ortega IceWine was made from Nova Scotia grown Ortega (Vitis vinifera) grapes that had frozen on the vine and were then harvested and pressed in December 2004 (outdoor temperatures -80C to -140C). Only a few sweet drops of juice from each berry were extracted and then carefully vinted under cool conditions. This premier vintage dessert wine is full of spicy tangerine, apricot, and melon fruit waiting to be savoured.
  Pomme Glacé
Bronze medal winner at 2002 International Taster’s Guild. Pomme Glacé is a unique dessert style apple wine made from a special blend of freshly pressed Nova Scotia grown apples. Following pressing ,the juice is cryo-extracted to produce a delicious golden nectar containing over 30 percent natural sugar and lots of apple flavour. Following fermentation the result is an extraordinary aperitif.
  PORT
Gold medal winner at 2003 Intervin International. Only the best Marechal Foch grapes grown in Nova Scotia were chosen by Jost Vineyards to produce our premier Port style red wine. It has a rich, full bodied, fruit character which lingers on the palate. Jost Vineyards Port is the perfect accompaniment to good friends and good food. It is ready for drinking now but will age gracefully for many years to come.
  Reserve Marechal Foch
Gold at the 2002 International Taster's Guild Competition. Silver at the 2006 International Tasters Guild Awards The 2003 Reserve Marechal Foch is a dry red wine made from the finest estate-grown Marechal Foch. Aged in French oak barrels has provided oaky, as well as fruit-derived berry and bell pepper characters on a good tannin backbone leading to a great overall balance and length. This wine has exceptional aging potential and pairs well with fine cheese and red meat dishes.
  Rose
Silver medal winner at 2006 Taster's Guild Int'l Wine Competition. After careful harvesting, destemming and crushing portions of free run juice were removed from selected lots of Nova Scotia grown Marechal Foch grapes. This juice, which was pink in colour and full of flavour was used to produce Jost Vineyards’ premiere vintage of Limited Edition 2005 Rosé. This semi-dry rosé is salmon-pink in colour with predominantly fresh berry fruit characteristics.
  Sangria
The Sangria is a wonderful blend of Nova Scotian Blueberry and Apple Wine, best served chilled and garnished with orange slices. This wine epitomizes what is best about summer.
  Seyval Blanc
Double Gold medal winner at 2005 All Canadian Wine Championships. The Seyval Blanc is a silver medal award winning Nova Scotia grown wine which has a sweet and clean bouquet reminiscent of pears and citrus fruit. This full-bodied, well balanced semi-dry white wine fills the palate with apricots and blackberries supported by a citrus background. Seyval Blanc pairs well with hard cheese and chicken dishes as well as Nova Scotia’s world famous seafood.
  Trilogy
Jost Vineyard’s 2003 Red Trilogy is the premier vintage of this limited edition wine. It was made from the best Baco Noir, Leon Millot and Marechal Foch grapes grown in Nova Scotia in 2003. Soft, ripe tannins support lengthy fresh berry fruit characters while aging in French oak barrels has provided smoky black cherry and anise flavours. This wine has great aging potential and pairs well with fine cheeses and hearty red meat dishes.
  Vidal Icewine
Gold Medal Winner at the 2004 Tasters Guild International The grapes used to produce Jost Vineyards Gold Medal Award Winning 2003 Vidal Icewine were grown in the Gaspereau Valley of Nova Scotia. During the coldest mornings of December 2003 (temperatures between -8 C and -14 C) the frozen grapes were harvested and pressed. The pressing yielded a golden nectar which was high in sugar, flavour and balance giving acidity. A cool, slow fermentation resulted in a very complex, full bodied dessert wine.
