2001 DeChaunac

2001 DeChaunac Wine Details
Price: $13.99 per bottle

Description: Gold medal winner at the International Taster's Guild Competition and Bronze medal winner at the 2002 All-Canadian Wine Championships. Jost Vineyards Gold Medal award-winning 2001 Gaspereau Vineyard DeChaunac is a full bodied Estate Bottled red wine. It was decided to bottle this limited production dry red wine without filtering so that the unique Nova Scotia grown DeChaunac characteristics (lengthy black cherries, bell peppers and chocolate overtones) could be highlighted. It will compliment the heartiest of red meat dishes and fine cheeses. Note: Some colour sediment may form in unfiltered wine.

Varietal Definition
De Chaunac:
An early ripening french-american hybrid grape which gives a fruity, balanced red wine usually possessed of low to mild tannic content. Planted mainly in the cooler regions of the Northeast U.S. and Canada.
