  The 6th annual “Horse and Hound” Wine Festival
From Saturday, July 10, 2010 To Saturday, July 10, 2010
Enjoy wine from eight of Virginia’s finest wineries while listening to good music and visiting art, craft and food vendors. Virginia’s most unique wine festival has numerous events throughout the day with horses and dogs as the primary attractions such as the Parade of Horses, agility dogs and muskrat racing. Families will enjoy this festival because it appeals to both young and old. The event takes place on the spacious and gracious grounds of Johnson’s Orchards 2122 Sheep Creek Rd, Bedford Va 24523 with spectacular Blue Ridge mountain views. Part of the proceeds will benefit 501-3c organizations that benefit horses and dogs. 11am-6pm Tasters $15--Gen. Adm. $10--Children & Dogs $5. This is a stop on the Virginia Wildlife and Birding Trail. 540-586-3707




Peaks of Otter Winery

Peaks of Otter Winery Johnson's Orchards is a family farm, established in 1919: and Peaks of Otter Winery was established in 1996. We are located in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia and the foot of the Peaks of Otter in Bedford county. Our winery is just as versitle as our orchards. Just as our orchards are comprised of 200 different varieties of apples, peaches, plums, nectarine we produce over 25 different wines.
