Trebbiano VQA

Late Harvest Trebbiano VQA Wine Details
Price: $14.99 per bottle

Description: This Italian grape is a perfect match for a late harvest wine… it invites images of tropical beaches, sand and sunshine! This wine was vented from the juice of grapes purposely left on the vines to freeze, then carefully hand-picked at our Winemaker’s direction. The grapes were then gently pressed to extract the rich, golden juice before being slowly fermented. Savour the flavours of mango, apricot and peach. Serve chilled with fresh fruit, not-too-sweet dessert dishes, or simply on its own.

Varietal Definition
Trebbiano:
Trebbiano in Italy and Ugni Blanc in France. Regardless of the name, this varietal is tremendously prolific; low in alcohol but high in acidity, it is found in almost any basic white Italian wine. It is so ingrained in Italian winemaking that it is actually a sanctioned, ingredient of the blend used for (red) Chianti and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. However, most current Tuscan producers choose not add it to their wines, any longer.
