Description: A robust ruby port with notes of black cherry and caramel. Our port won a bronze medal at the 2000 San Diego National Wine Competition. It also won a gold medal and best of show at the 2000 West Virginia Wineries Competition.

Varietal Definition
Marechal Foch:
A french-american hybrid grape, with french Alsace Gamay origins, noted for producing deeply colored and strongly varietal wines considered by some to have a "Burgundian" character. Also known under the name Foch.

This is a very good port style wine. It is sweet, but not sugary, with a string cherry nose and taste. We served it to dinner guests who had no idea that good wine is produced in West Virginia.
