  Girard Cabernet Franc, Napa Valley
Cabernet Franc is a signature component of our Napa Valley Red blend. We like it for its high aromatics and the great berry flavors that it provides in the mid palate and the nose. Many of our dedicated fans of our Napa Red both in the trade and consumer alike have asked us to do a stand alone Cabernet Franc. We decided that our 2002 Cabernet Franc was so extraordinary that we would do a very limited bottling that showcases how we feel Cabernet Franc should be made. We produced only 381 cases of this wine which comes primarily from our Oakville vineyard sources. 84% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot and small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petite Verdot.
  Girard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
The dense, cool marine-layer fog that blankets the Dutton Ranch ensures wonderful crisp acidity for half of our Chardonnay juice. Add the rich full-flavored juice that comes from the warmer La Porte Cochere vineyard and you have a complete, well-balanced award-winning Russian River Chardonnay. Lovely, enticing tropical and citrus aromas are augmented with a rich and round silky-smooth pallet
  Girard Estate-Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon
The blend is 100% Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. The first impression of our 2002 Estate Cabernet provides a wonderful lushness on the pallet with a perfect balance of fruit and acid. The well-integrated tannins are soft at present, but will provide years of age-ability for the wine. The flavor profile includes: Dark Cherry Liqueur, Blueberry Cobbler, Cassis and an ever so light touch of bakers cocoa.
  Girard Late Harvest Zinfandel
Our Late Harvest Zinfandel is a superb dessert wine that offers excellent balance of bright cherry and blueberry flavors. It comes from a single vineyard, The Bingham Ranch, in Calistoga where the grapes were picked in almost raisin-like conditions at 42 degrees brix. The addition of a little Petite Sirah helps brighten the wine and brings the acidity level up, keeping the wine from being overly sweet. The blend is 96% Zinfandel and 4% Petite Sirah. 482 cases were produced. Our 2004 Late Harvest Zinfandel is packaged in 375ml bottles.
  Girard Napa Valley Red
Visually you are presented with a luxuriously bright, deep cherry color. The aromas offer blackberry, kirsch, dried rose, tobacco and winter spices. On the pallet the body is elegant with a silky texture filled with firm but unobtrusive tannins. 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, 7% Malbec and 1% Petite Verdot.
  Girard Old-Vine Zinfandel, Napa Valley
From 50 year old vines that thrive upon the highest elevation vineyard in Napa. The structure of our 2003 vintage is very well-balanced with soft, integrated tannins. Lush dark-fruit aromas of kirsch, blueberry and raspberry are immediately apparent. Hints of coffee, cinnamon and caramel float on top of earthy undertones. The wine finishes with a hint of white pepper
  Girard Petite Sirah, Napa Valley
This wine is a perfect example of why we are seeing a resurgence of interest in this historic grape variety. Grown on old world head pruned vines in the Napa Valley, the fruit in this wine is brimming with blueberry, blackberry and plum. On the palate the wine is very big with mouth filling tannins and body for which our Petite Sirah is justly renowned. This wine will age for many years, if you can wait, put this wine down for a few years, if not, we recommend decanting for maximum enjoyment.
  Girard Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Aromas of ripe melon and papaya greet your nose as you savor this classic Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was fermented in older oak barrels so as not to hide the brilliant fruit character. In addition, the natural acidity of the grapes was retained through the prevention of malolactic fermentation to further enhance the freshness of the fruit. We picked the fruit extremely ripe to deliver an incredibly big style of Sauvignon Blanc that delivers classic grapefruit aromas with lush mouth feel and excellent acidity. This all adds up to an extremely food friendly wine that is just as enjoyable sipped on its own
