Sleepy Creek Vineyards

Sleepy Creek Vineyards Sleepy Creek Vineyards is a great place walk among the vines and enjoy the scenic view from our pond. Once we win the referendum, you will be able to walk among the vines and taste our first vintages of wines made from grape vines that you can see growing right here.

Directions
We are located just three miles south of Oakwood, Illinois just off Interstate 74 between Danville and Champaign, Illinois. From I-74, take Exit 206 at Oakwood. Turn left (south) onto Oakwood Rd. In about three miles, you will cross a small bridge over the Salt Fork River and go up a hill. At the top of the hill, the road curves and you can see the vineyard on the left (east). Turn left (east) onto county road 1425 N. Turn right (south) into the first drive on the right. Proceed down the drive towards the trees and past the metal barn to the parking area. The tasting room and winery are located in the big barn by the pond. Come on in!

An unfiltered dry red wine made from Illinois-grown Chambourcin and Rougeon, aged in American & French oak barrels. Best served at room temperature, try it with a hearty meal.

I visited your winery this afternoon, and was very disappointed with your lane and yard. Not mowed and deep holes in your drive. I brought some friends that had never been there before and they could not believe it either. Wine was very good.
