  Grenache Cuvee Cooper
Pale ruby color in the glass give the first hint that this is true Grenache. On the nose there is graphite, baking spices, earth and raw meats. On the palate it is full weight with very firm/bracing acids and grip. It shows cherry, white chocolate, peppermint and bay leaf. Truly as close to a California Chateauneuf as you are likely to find with its purity and balance and true Grenache soul.
  Syrah Hudson Vineyard
Massively rich/forceful nose of meats, oak, earth, spice and a hint of black cherry and chocolate. On the palate this wine just takes over. To call it dense is really not fair. Dry aged beef, smoking coals, blackberry, bacon fat and sweet oak show themselves on the palate along with masses of sweet/ripe tannins. The finish on this just does not quit and tapers off after a minute or so so a sweet dove tail of sweetness.
  Syrah Judge Vineyard
Cracked black pepper fresh out of a pepper mill is the most defining quality on the aromatics of this wine. Road tar, roasted meats and charcoal smoke are also found on the nose of this Syrah. On the palate there is full weight with tremendous density and length across the entire palate. Along with the richness and density are the acids from the cool climate vineyard site which hold the fruit in check and provide precision and definition. Ripe cherry, boysenberry and even a hints of Provence herbs are evident on the palate. A classic cool climate California Syrah. More like Hermitage to the Hommage Allans' Cote Rotie.
TOR Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffers To Kalon Vineyard
Fabulous dark ruby-purple to the core with absolutely no lightening at the rim. With the first smell of this wine, it is immediately evident that seamlessness is its trademark. Each note of the aromatics, gracefully leads to the next. The first hint of cherry is followed by macerated blackberry, leading to an explosion of cloves, cassis and liqueur. On the palate this wine is (despite its extreme richness) extraordinarily precise and focused. The finish is long, never seeming to quit (of course, why would you want it to?)
  TOR Chardonnay Cuvee Torchiana
Incredibly intense rich nose of creme brulee, butter, honeysuckle and sweet oak. On the palate this wine is very dense and rich and just spreads across the palate. It shows crushed shells, lemon liqueur, hazelnut and just a touch of smoke. Perhaps most impressive on this wine is its depth as well as intense minerality and length. This is a wine that simply does not quit.
TOR Chardonnay Durell Vineyard Wente Clone
Explosively aromatic nose consisting of spiced apples, pears, flint and flowers. On the palate there is beautiful purity of fruit and focus. The fruit is almost more crystaline in its intensity. An almost crushed stone minerality focuses the fruit and creates a very bracing and clean impression on the palate. Stone fruits, talc, cloves and sweet oak tail off to a long smooth finish. A beautiful combination of lean French precision and California richness of fruit.
TOR Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Cimarossa Vineyard
This vintage shows a dense purple color and great saturation at the core. Aromatically, this wine simply soars. Cimarossa is loaded with acacia flower, graphite, chocolate and subtle sweet oak. On the palate it gives up a deceptively sweet and rich entry that masks the grip that comes from the Howell Mountain fruit. This wine displays blueberry, espresso, tri-tip, pencil shavings and cedar. The finish on this it tremendously long, seamless and shows a hint of mint as it finally tails off.
TOR Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Mast Vineyard
The color is a blood red/garnet with no lightening at the rim. On the nose there is a blast of ripe boysenberry, cherry, earth, peppermint and cloves. On the palate this wine has a wonderfully palate coating entry with firm but sweet tannins that reach all the way to the back of the palate, roasted meat juices, blackberry, bitter sweet dark chocolate and acidity that serves to carry the flavors to all parts of the palate and extend the length on the wine. This is immediately approachable but has the stuffing to hold in the cellar for years.
