Chateau Du Vieux Corbeau

Chateau Du Vieux Corbeau In February 2001, we were anticipating the realization of our hopes and prayers to start a winery here at the Farm. But there were so many hurdles ahead that, even though we planned the course we were to follow, we decided the only way to achieve our goal was to take one hurdle at a time. We planted over 900 vines of various varietals over the course of 2 years. In December 2001, we passed the biggest hurdle of all when the voters in our precinct gave us a resounding “Yes” to our request to offer complimentary samples and to sell our wine here on the farm. We were granted our Federal License in 2002, and finished our winery building in time for holiday sales (not to mention two of our children's weddings!) Our Winery building is situated on ½ acre and has approximately 5,000 feet of floor space. Besides featuring an underground grape-handling facility, the winery boasts a tasting room and "vineyard room" where private receptions and dinners may be served. The Cellar of the winery features a quiet room where the wine first rests after being bottled. The rest of the underground facility is where the wine is fermented, processed and bottled. Tours of the cellar will commence this summer after the tanks and other equipment is in place. The Winery has already played host to numerous holiday dinners, business meetings, and receptions. In addition, the Winery plans to host holiday dinners and teas. Our calendar of events may be found here. Please check with our Winery Staff for your various business, social or other types of events. We can handle weddings, receptions, retreats, workshops, luncheons, dinners, and other events.
