Falconer Vineyards and Winery

Falconer Vineyards and Winery Falconer Vineyards winery opened its doors Memorial Day weekend, 2004 introducing our first vintage of wines made from our own Minnesota grapes and grapes from other northern vineyards. This year we are excited to bring back many of our best sellers from last year as well as some new varietals and blends. You are welcome to choose from fruity light white wines to full bodied red wines with great aging potential. We invite you to join us for wine tasting, winery tours and vineyard walks. We welcome you to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the picturesque view of our vineyard and surrounding bluff lands. Our Winery will be open weekends: Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sundays 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. through Thanksgiving. We are also open weekdays by appointment only for tours and tastings.

Products

  Chardonnay
A crisp complex wine with vanilla highlights and a smooth mouth-feel. Light oak character from barrel aging in Minnesota oak. Serve chilled and paired with pork, chicken, salmon or shellfish. Will age nicely.
  Foch Reserve
2004 Indy wine competition Bronze medal winner. Made from 100% Foch grown in our own vineyard from fully ripened low acid grapes. Our Foch Reserve is fully dry and aged in Minnesota oak barrels. Great accompaniment with red meats and as a dessert sipping wine with chocolate. Excellent aging potential.
  Frontenac
2004 Indy wine competition Bronze medal winner. Our Frontenac is a deep garnet colored dry red wine. Pleasant cherry aroma and flavor with light natural tannin.
  Frontenac Reserve
100% Frontenac grapes from our own vineyard. The grapes were harvested late season for flavor and high sugar content. This dry Reserve is oaked in our Minnesota oak barrels for complexity and tannins. Excellent aging potential.
  Frontenac Rosé
Crisp and fruity, our Rosé is an excellent summer refreshment. Serve chilled or as a wine cooler and enjoy the pronounced cherry bouquet and flavor of Frontenac. A wonderful addition to a picnic on a beautiful Minnesota summer day.
  Gewürztraminer
This Germanic semi-sweet wine literally translates as spicy. Unique varietal spiciness of clove and pepper with a strong perfumed bouquet. Serve chilled with spicy foods and rich desserts.
  Marechal Foch
A fruity, dry, red wine blend, utilizing Minnesota grown Foch blended with a small amount of Frontenac. Aged in Minnesota oak barrels, this wine has cherry and blackberry flavors. Great served with grilled or roasted beef and pork.
  Marechal Foch Reserve
Made from 100% Foch grown in our own vineyard from fully ripened low acid grapes. Our Foch Reserve is fully dry and aged in Minnesota oak barrels. Excellent aging potential
  North Star Red
Our blend made from several Northern winter hardy grapes. A dry but fruity wine of plum and blackberry notes, this will pair well with red meats and barbecue and has great aging potential.
  Potter John's Vintage
Our blend made from several Northern winter hardy grapes. Slightly sweetened, this fruity blend is perfect for light meals and Hors D'oeuvres. Serve chilled.
  Riesling
German style semi-sweet wine. Good acid balance with a flowery aroma, serve chilled with seafood, especially crab, lobster or the delicate walleye.
  Seyval Blanc
One of my personal favorite wines, the Seyval is lightly sweet and has a delicate fruitiness, enough to complement a meal of pasta, poultry or seafood. This year’s vintage is especially aromatic. Serve chilled.
