Dashe Cellars

Dashe Cellars Founded by the husband and wife winemaking team of Michael and Anne Dashe, we are a family-run artisan winery. Focused on crafting small allotments of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petite Syrah wines, Dashe Cellars marries techniques from California and the great winemaking regions of France. The results are complex, sensuous red wines that capture the charm and personality of top Sonoma vineyards in the Dry Creek and Alexander valleys.

Dashe Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
This is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley—quite intense and complex, and at the same time possessing a mouth-coating, velvety, sensuous texture. It is certainly one of our favorite wines from an exceptional hillside vineyard—the Todd Brothers Ranch—in the Geyserville region of Alexander Valley.
Dashe Cellars Dry Riesling, McFadden Farms
From its beautiful floral nose of orange blossom, citrus and figs to its flavors of apricot orange, honeysuckle and spice, this rich, velvety Riesling captures the sophistication and purity of its mountain-vineyard terroir. Offering beautiful acidity and a clean, lingering finish, this is a wine to savor with delicious food and good friends.
Dashe Cellars Merlot Iron Oak Ranch
We have yet another splendid example of Dashe Cellars unique blend of intensity and subtlety from our favorite Merlot vineyard, the Iron Oak Vineyard high up in the mountains of Potter Valley. (How can it be a mountain if it’s a valley? We’d have to use maps, but you’ll have to take our word on it. It’s in the mountains).
Dashe Cellars Petite Syrah Ripkin Vineyard
Ah, imagine a Mediterranean breeze ruffling olive leaves next to your villa in the south of France, as you sip a spicy red wine with flavors of blackberry, cassis, chocolate, and spice. Well, we can’t provide you with a villa but we did come up with a Petite Syrah that supplies these flavors and more. At this price, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better wine to go with southern Italian food, barbequed meats, or any other hearty rustic food.
  Dashe Cellars Sangiovese
The wine explodes with fresh red berry fruit - strawberry, cherry, and raspberry - that are enhanced by the bright tangy acid mid-palate. The flavors broaden on the palate, showing more chocolate and spice, and the wine exhibits a very long, spicy, clean finish. This is an ideal wine to go with a broad range of foods.
Dashe Cellars Zinfandel Big River Ranch
The vintage of 2003 was one of the warmest on record, which pushed the ripeness of the grapes to produce a very fruitforward, lush, thick wine which exhibits the classic blackberry and chocolate flavors that are characteristic of Alexander Valley zinfandel. As the wine aged, it deepened in color and developed a complexity and firm structure that we believe will help the wine improve with up to eight years of bottle age.
Dashe Cellars Zinfandel Louvau Vineyard Old Vines
From 67-year-old vines in center of Dry Creek Valley, this wine is a personal favorite. As one might expect from a Dry Creek Zin, this wine is spicy, elegant and complex, with a lush black raspberry flavor. The intensity of flavors and balance are magnificent.
Dashe Cellars Zinfandel Todd Brothers Ranch
We love this wine. It is one of the biggest, richest, and yet most balanced Todd Brothers zinfandel we've made yet. These old-vine zin vines produce a wine that is purple-black in color, with gobs of chocolate and enough blackberry and cassis fruit to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. The texture is everything we strive for at Dashe Cellars: mouthfilling, creamy, velvety, and deep, with a long chocolaty finish. Yum.
  Late Harvest Zinfandel
With voluptuous layers of sweet black raspberry, currant and plum, all accentuated by enticing notes of cherry, chocolate and vanilla, this is the ideal way to end a fantastic meal. Pair this half bottle of wine with a decadent dessert like chocolate pecan pie, or savor its spicy sweetness as the ideal accompaniment for a traditional pumpkin pie.
  Vin Gris Dry Creek Valley
Only 75 cases were produced of this dry Vin Gris, made from wine drained from our large tank lots of Petite Sirah and Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley. This wine is crisp, dry, with lovely flavors of strawberry, black cherry and a hint of peppery spice. Enjoy chilled, as an apertif, or with dishes of light fish or pasta with white wine sauces.
  Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley
Dark, complex, mouthfilling, and rich, our 2005 Dry Creek Zinfandel is a classic example of why the Dry Creek Valley is so famous for intense zinfandels. The combination of black raspberry and chocolate flavors, combined with its velvety texture, make this a perfect wine for a wide variety of foods--from barbequed or grilled meats, to pastas with hearty sauces, or just by itself before a meal. This is the wine on which Dashe Cellars has made its reputation, and the 2005 vintage is so good that you'll find it absolutely irresistible! Robert Parker gave this wine a 90 point score for the 2004 vintage, and we expect an even better response for the spectacular 2005 vintage.
  Zinfandel Florence Vineyard
This is our first vintage from this excellent little vineyard on the northern tip of Dry Creek Valley. The grapes from this vineyard were planted from cuttings of the famous St. Peters Church clone taken from vines on the Rockpile Ranch The 2005 vintage in Dry Creek featured a picture-perfect ripening season—warm and extended—which produced one of our most classic Dry Creek zinfandel blends. Dry Creek zinfandels are famous for their balance of fruit, spice, and velvety texture, and our 2005 Dry Creek zin is a great example of that style. The wine is extremely dark, with flavors of black raspberry, chocolate, clove spice, and floral hints of violets and lavender. With its rich, velvety texture and long, complex finish, this is certain to be one of our most popular Dry Creek Valley zinfandels.
  Zinfandel Louvau Vineyard Old Vines
We love this wine: its fruit, its structure, its elegance. The aromas are of beautiful raspberry and cherry liqueur, together with clove, chocolate, and vanilla. In the mouth, the flavors are of black raspberry fruit, chocolate, and more earthy complex flavors, all buoyed up by the firm acid that keeps the wine from being too thick or cloying. The wine is so satisfying in texture: it’s just like liquid velvet. The 2003 vintage was an ideal year to show off this special Dry Creek vineyard.
