Drytown Cellars

Drytown Cellars Allen and Suzanne feel that wine should be enjoyed every day. Good pairing of food and wine helps make daily meals into pleasurable experiences. While wine is wonderful when enjoyed to enhance special celebrations, it can bring pleasure to everyday living. Given the relatively low cost of producing high quality wines in California, there are very few reasons why the price of a wine should exceed one's daily food budget. Drytown Cellars is dedicated to producing the very best wines-well balanced, intensely flavored, yet good for every day. We use only the highest quality fruit. We eschew tampering with what nature provides, and depend on rigorous scientific methods of production. We strive to preserve the distinctive fruit characteristics in the wine. We love producing single varietal wines, but we also believe that prudent blending can enhance varietal characteristics by offering complimentary attributes. And as with our non-vintage burgundy, "Red-on-Red," we can take advantage of a wide palette of flavors to produce an outstanding, robust, yet reasonably priced, bottle of wine.

Products

  Amador County Cabernet Franc
We didn’t want to hide this wine’s delicious varietal characteristics by blending, so here it is in all its splendor: smooth chalky and cherry flavors, with enough acid to stand up to braised meat or game.
  Amador County Primitivo
Like Amador Zinfandels, this primitivo is a rich mouthful. Luscious fruit, with hints of chocolate and smoke. Enjoy with rich foods.
  Amador County Sauvignon Blanc
Taste the honeydew melon and citrus flavors of this sauvignon blanc. The sweet floral nose of this wine belies the tart, dry finish. Good with barbequed chicken or smoky cheeses.
  Amador County Zinfandel
The varietal for which Amador County is best known. This Zinfandel, from the Noyes vineyard, has smooth tannins and good color. It’s clean and soft on the palate, with hints of chocolate and pepper.
  California Malvasia Bianca
This antique varietal is boldly fruity and spicy. A blend of Santa Clara and Madera County fruit, this wine holds its own with Asian or Middle-Eastern foods.
  California Port (non vintage)
The traditional Portuguese style, fermentation of this Port was arrested by brandy fortification to produce a perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying wine. Enjoy this wine with stilton cheese, chocolates, walnuts, or by itself.
  California Syrah
This complex, full-bodied wine has soft tannins and a rich taste. With earthy and jammy flavors and rich smokey aromas, this wine is ready to drink now.
  Chardonnay
  El Dorado County Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic cabernet sauvignon with firm structure and tannins, earthy on the nose and palate. Drinkable now but can be cellared for several years!
  Kirigin Cellars Vino de Mocca
A delicious wine liqueur. This dessert wine has natural flavors of coffee, orange, and chocolate that will make you say “Wow!”
  Pinot Noir barrel Aged
  Red-on-Red
Our signature wine! The real art is in the blending. Red-On-Red has a taste profile enhanced by the contribution of each individual varietal - the harmony of these make this blend very special. This California burgundy is a blend of Calaveras and Santa Clara Zinfandel and California Merlot. A plumy, rich nose, mild spicy currant fruit flavor. Easy to drink and enjoy.
  Redwood Valley Pinot Noir
The distinctive Pinot flavors come from the Redwood Valley of Mendocino County. This barrel-aged pinot noir has hints of cherry and rose and a smoky finish.
  Reserve Amador County Zinfandel
Also from the Noyes vineyards, this 100% Zinfandel making it a bigger mouthful. Drink now or cellar.
  Sangiovese
