New River Winery is the first commercial winery located in Ashe County, North Carolina. Located in downtown Lansing, the winery was founded in 2005 as a cooperative venture of wine lovers with a common tie to Ashe County and the Blue Ridge High Country.
Our wines are currently being sold at Bohemia located in downtown West Jefferson. The well known gallery and coffee shop has become the first tasting outlet for New River Winery wines.
Future plans call for wine sales at additional local establishments such as restaurants and boutique wine shops as well as limited wholesale distribution. The winery also plans to enter its wines in competitions to help establish a reputation for quality and character.
